The Jack Schoemer Scholarship -

In the spirit of giving back, our Chapter each year looks for candidates who are interested in advancing their education level in the Human Resource field.  Contact Kevin Loose, College Relations/Scholarship Director for timing and more information at [email protected].

A big congrats goes out to Kimiko Lee - our 2026 Jack Schoemer Scholarship recipient for 2026. Kimiko Lee!
Early Interest in People and Business: Kimiko Lee has always sought opportunities to connect with others, starting from childhood activities like selling candy and offering manicures, to engaging with her school district’s executive board. Her excitement stemmed from building relationships and understanding people, not just the business aspect.
Motivation for Human Resources: Her passion for communication and connection led her to pursue higher education in business, with a specific interest in human resources. She looks forward to developing her interpersonal and professional skills through college involvement in organizations, community events, and leadership roles.
Defining Personal Experience: A pivotal moment was her sophomore year on varsity soccer, where limited playtime made her question her abilities and sense of belonging. Instead of quitting, she worked harder and reflected on the type of environment she wanted to foster in the future.
Core Values: This experience shaped her core values of diversity, inclusivity, and kindness. She understands the importance of recognition and aspires to create workplace cultures where everyone feels heard, respected, and has equal opportunities to grow.
Career Aspiration: Kimiko aims to use a career in human resources to uplift others and build inclusive, supportive environments. She is committed to continuous personal growth and meaningful contributions to her academic and local communities.
A huge thank you to the Jack Schoemer Family for their continued generosity in funding this scholarship. We truly appreciate the opportunity to honor Jack's legacy and carry on his impactful work within the HR community.
